Would you suggest adding pulldown resistor to a Duende JFET?

I'll be building a Duende JFET (here's a layout) next; plan to use a Mill 1 bypass.

The input goes directly to the 1 meg gain pot.  Is there any need to include a pulldown resistor prior to that pot?
(Seems like it wouldn't be necessary -- the pot itself might serve the function of a pulldown, since lug 1 goes to ground...)

Thanks in advance.

And, even there was no pot: What would you want to pulldown at the input?

Ah, yes.  No input cap = no pulldown resistor needed...

Thanks,
