Push/Pull pot?

Not used these before but, are they simply a DPDT switch attached to the back of a pot?

I want to use one as an A/B switch.

Pretty much, but don't think you can make one by gluing a pot to a switch. You could at most make an awkward push-push pot that way.
The switch in the push-pull pot is a slide switch, connected to the pot's shaft.
