AAARRGH! I Turned back into a NOOB!

Okay, so I decided to build the Gus' Boost just because I needed a gain stage after my Colorsound Tremolo.
Never built it since I wanted Rangemasters, Fuzzrites, and Muffs (OH MY!)

Used the vero on this thread:

Seemed easy enough!
The tremolo worked fine for two years before I modded it, and now all I get when I turn up the boost is mildly boosted tremelo-soaked HISS!

I measured the voltages:
C 4.81v
B 2.7v
E 2.12v

The resistor values of my resistors are off, too. I just pulled and soldered.   Cheap Rat-Shack value pack!!!!
47K is really 37k,  the two 100Ks are 87k and 126k, respectably.  10ks are 10k...
Unless being in circuit can screw with resistance (I don't think so).

Help a brother out, would ya?

Oh, and my electrolytics might have had a previous life as a stereo component.  I imagine there is part of the blame!

Well, that Vero works, I've built a few of them now. Check your voltages and did you check the booster by itself to verify it's working?

Naw, I saw that everyone was cool with the vero so I just whipped it up.  Thought it'd be easy!
