No I didn't! I can't believe I didn't think to do that. Clearly we have some parents in this forum who are more suited for the job than I am. Next time...I promise. I'm still cleaning that mess up.

My first attempt at it. They're clearly not as good as other people's, but I had fun with my kids doing it.

Curtis

Nothing wrong with those, they turned out really good! Don't know why but the black/white one made me think of 'The Scream'.

Does the dip method work on pedals like it does for guitars?

I'm not sure if it does...I'm working on them now - just acrylic paint over the top of the box and swirl right on the box. I'll clearcoat when dry. How are you guys swirling the boxes?

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

That's cool - subbed your channel. Are you doing a clearcoat spray after it dries? If so what kind?

LPB, first dip swirl. I really like it.

Echo Base (Ian M. design) for my buddy. Another dip swirl. It was supposed to be swirly like above... didn't turn out that way. I do like the "water drop" paint style though. Not sure if I used enough/too much borax. The swirl/drop style fits this beautiful delay I think quite nicely.

My experience...

The dip swirl works like in the above videos, but you can't use acrylic paint. You must use ENAMEL paint. Enamel is sticky, but fluid and it floats on top of the water. I've been using the cheap way (enamel spray paint sprayed into the cap to collect, then poured into the water and borax mixture). I've yet to use proper liquid enamel, which is what is used in the above videos. Try it with spray paint over a white primed enclosure. It's fun!

What do you dippers use to dip the pedal with? The drip method works fine, but those big swirls you get with the dip method, I want.

Scratch that, coat hanger.

Cool designs there! Is there any alternative to borax? Borax is not sold freely in my country as it is considered a poison :icon_biggrin:
