I want to try those sram chips he's using but they're 3.6v max, and both my dspic and avr programmers are 5v.
I'll eventually get a programmer for the pic33's anyway..

32KB per chip. about one second each at 8bit. it would be great to chain a dozen or so together! especially because they're cheap

I know next to nothing about this type of stuff, but the project looks quite approachable and useful. Also, in his future plans section the creator talks about possible delay or echo settings based solely on software changes.

I'm afraid of the can of worms I might open though.
