A new DIY'er needs some help with parts.
« on: December 20, 2010, 11:56:36 AM »
Hey everybody!  I'm new here, and am looking to buy some parts in bulk to start my collection.  I really would like to buy just bulk parts not individual parts, but I want something with a wide variety of values and such.  Some future builds I'm looking to do are a few One Knob Fuzzes, a Bazz Fuzz, a Shin Ei Companion Fuzz, Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive, Sho Boost, etc. etc.  I know where I can find decent deals on resistors, but I would love some good deals on capacitors, pots, transistors, diodes, common IC's, and switches.  Thanks!

Welcom MonsterBass! This is a common question.. in fact, someone just asked last week.. check out this thread for some great suggestions:

Also, check out smallbear at http://www.smallbearelec.com/StoreFront.bok for the harder to get parts, like germanium transistors for those old fuzz projects.

Good luck!
