The Eagel has landed, Huston we have Flanging
And it sounds just grate. No LFO ticking or any thing. I tested VR3 and R5 with a variable pot to find the spot where feedback is optimal. In my case 106K
The only thing I'm can think of is to increase the MAX speed, I will try with a 680uF but I did not have one in stock so I have to buy one and test. I have also updated the documents in the links to the PDF documents above. The silk and BOM is now inside the layout but I could not delete those links above. Use the PCB and the layout.

I remade my layout from the ground and managed to get everything in to one board. I also did some mods suggested above.

Removed the FET bypass and its components added a true bypass
R05=4K7
R5+VR3~100K (keeps some range for feedback increase to 150K if not wanted)
Decreased C19 to 10uF
Omitted C01
Changed the Resonance switch for a 100KA pot
Omitted R29
Possible mod is to use a 680uF for C02 to get a faster Max rate
The only bad sounding stomp box is an unbuilt stomp box. ;-)

I got my perf layout working yesterday as well. I will post my layout and schematic once I have a chance to draw them up in DIYLC. (I drew it by hand, and it is too messy to post...) There aren't many DIY able flangers out there, so I want to make sure we have this one out there for the people!

That's a good thought. I specially like the FL3 since it's based on the MN3207 and not the more pricy MN3007. A 3007 is € 8,57 ($12) and a MN3207 €2,68 ($3,85) at www.banzaimusic.com where I buy them. You might argue that it's cheaper in the US but don't forget the customs to Europe.

I have sort of hooked on flangers at the moment. I happen to have two MN3007 in stock so I thought I would give the John Hollis Ultra flanger a chance. I made a layout and it fits in a 1590A as well. It's built around the MN3007 CD40406. I'll publish the layout etc as soon as it's verified.

The reason I first looked at this circuit was because I bought (5) MN3207/3102 chips for US $16.88. Super cheap!!!! Like me.

He still has a bunch, so if people want to build this, they should jump.
