if you are using search, brontoboost was originally one word, so searching as two words might not bring up as many results.
what brought the bronto to your attention?
there are two general groups of schems out there=- early ones are two trans, no buffer. by the time i went to production, i incorporated a buffer, so it was a 3 trans device.
i personally like the buffered one better, but some people who tried both liked the early non-buffered one better. it is a good pedal for amp-like response, very touch responsive. it does not distort on its own very much, except when the tone control is set to the bassy side. you don't have to use a dual gang for the tone, i only did that to give it less knobs. in fact, a separate cap/pot control for each stage gives some extra flexibility to the circuit.
