im gutted that after a year of getting my builds up to scratch i have to opt out of this to concentrate on my uni work :-( however im like totally super excited to see everyones finished results. They are going to be awesometastic

I'm thinking about those guys I don't know very much here at the forum and that are going to participate ;D
I'm 666% sure trad3mark will participate, but there are many guys (and maybe some girls....... yes..... maybe.... in fact I hope there are some!.....) that suddenly appear here posting such impressive builds.

This is going to be great! We're getting closer and closer...

Oh, by the way...

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to... so that when they turn their backs on you you'll get the chance to put the knife in :icon_twisted:

Gentlemen, yesterday Slade gave me a sneak preview of the artwork for the prize. It struck terror into my heart and gave me nightmares all last night. It's guaranteed to bequeath ill fortune and doom unto it's owner. But first it has to make the 12000 km trip from Chile to the UK for me to build the amp into it - that's if the plane survives the journey and is not struck by thunder, lightning, hellfire and brimstone on the way.

Not sure if I'm gonna enter. Haven't really the experience needed to come up with something fiendish. At least not visually, anyway. But I'm sure going to enjoy the competition anyway, there's bound to be some good ideas to be inspired by.  : ;D

Yeah, i'm eagerly awaiting to see the strange & eccentric things that could easily pop up from this competition. Not entering, too much stuff to do & not really a fan of the whole "fiendish" idea anyways.

here where I live 777 would be the subtitle and explanation page for deaf people on tv... :P could be interesting for a music-related contest as this one...

slade you would be 666% correct that i am participating. I think i was one of the first posts in this thread, and through excitement and determination, i've worked on this every day since then. Tomorrow, i'm collecting the knobs; the finishing piece of this. So many late nights, and 2 rebuilds later, it's finally nearly finished. Now that i'm getting a chest infection, thankfuly i've no more soldering to do, cos i'm sure the fumes wouldn't help. In anycase, I cannot wait to let it out. It has literally destroyed me. It'll be my last pedal for a few months, but it was worth it.

This pedal, this competition is truly sinister. But soon, there will be...

Out of interest for frequencycentral/Slade, I know that you guys are judging it, but how's about, apart from an overall winner, having 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. Sort of like "Honourable Mention" even though they won't win anything. If you're giving out "Honourable Mention" you could give that to a bunch of the good entries.

i built a couple of circuits but werent happy with the sound..not that it matters to the comp, but it matters to me... :icon_rolleyes:

aint going to have time to complete my idea now.....ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

anyway less competiton right?.. :'(

look forward to the results and the pics and what the prize looks like.i bet its going to be the dogs nuts...(if the plane didnt crash!)...good luck guys...
