Can't wait for him to log in! We were going to PM him but decided to wait.........

Will he cry?
Has the anticipation killed him?
Will he make a acceptance speech?
Does his soul now belong to the Devil?
Is he gargling Lucifer's mayonaisse?

Can't wait for him to log in! We were going to PM him but decided to wait.........

Will he cry? smile!!
Has the anticipation killed him? no because I thought I wouldn't win
Will he make a acceptance speech? see below
Does his soul now belong to the Devil? I do think so :icon_twisted:
Is he gargling Lucifer's mayonaisse? no too much dry pizza in my mouth :icon_wink:

:icon_mrgreen: I have a smile on my face that will never disappear  :icon_mrgreen:

Thank you guys so much for the kind words about my pedal. There are so many things I would have done better and more complete/cleaner. It's good to read that my claims were unjustified:D
It was one of the most expensive pedals I ever build because e.g. I etched the top plate 4 times :D every time with a different mistake (the best one: I forgot the plate in the etchant while playing at the computer...).
I never thought that I could win! Thank you guys!

Now I have a headache --> headbanging to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5DpOdf-_yM

Do i have to post soundfiles ?? My playing skills are worse than lucifers diarrhea  :icon_lol:

A bit ot: is BedRoomEntertainment too much pr0n ? I build my pedals in my bedroom because my computer desk/ workbench is there :D BedRoomEffects is too mainstream  :icon_confused:
....who cares I think I will never sell a pedal... :icon_mrgreen:

Congrats, tuckster, impressive work. We appreciate your creativity and time to make such a wonderful pedal.

Thanks for the effort to you and everyone of the participants.

Seems like you have to wait a time for the prize now, hope you like our work, it was nice to make the enclosure for that fantastic Murder One that Rick will put in it.

Thanks to everyone for those "as always, Slade", you make me feel really good when reading your comments about my work, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH! You only push me to innovate and keep up in this fantastic world of making stompboxes.

Regards,
Fernando.-

Thats one evil stompbox.
You should draw a protective pentagram around it before you turn it on, just to be safe...

I Agree.
I think that a huge”thanks’ for fixing this competition” is in order for the two who made this competition possible…..frequencycentral/Slade.
Why?

  • For having the original idée and taking the time to administering the whole thing, there might have been 100:s of submissions.
  • And for doing this all for the only benefit of the fun of building those boxes.
  • For spending their own time and money fixing the price
frequencycentral/Slade you deserve a big acknowledgement for staging this competition.
RESPECT
The only bad sounding stomp box is an unbuilt stomp box. ;-)

Gratz, tuckster! That's an awesome pedal. I really dig the SM work. and the black resist.

I still got the circuit I was working on only about half working... I shoulda gone with CMOS. Was building an Octave Down Bass Synth with adjustable waveforms, emphasis on creating sawtooth top with trapezoidal bottom for that deep sound with metallic overtonetones.

777 Competition?

It was great fun to run the comp with Fernando. This really was just a one-off though, as sadly neither of use can afford to give stuff away for free regularly. Another competition would be fun at some point in the future, but run on a different basis. Here's my idea: a fixed term competition (say three months) which entrants have to subscribe to (say $10 per entry) within the first month, the prize fund to be held in a paypal account, the winner takes all. Not sure how the comp would be themed, or who would judge it? Only problem I can see is people falling out when money is involved.

Mucho kudos to Rick and Fernando for putting this intercontinental project together!! Great job guys... thanks!  And great work by all the entrants, more ideas to steal! If this had taken place at any other time year (except maybe Christmas) i'm sure the entry count would have been much higher.

Take care,
dave

Hey tuckster, by the way, Fernando says how did you get hold of his toe nail clippings to make the horns with?

I would like to enter this one, can you give me 10 bucks, old man?

PS: @ tuckster, was it too hard to cut Rick's toe nails while he was off (yeah, bypassed) to put in your enclosure?
