Tiny Stereo Panner..........another 555 project...... :)

@dead, yep. something like controlling which of the two paths get more "panned". instead of a straight 50/50 panning depth, something like a capability to adjust to 60/40 or 80/20.

@slade. yay! i got my ldrs yeterday, going to set it up and give it a go...i'll try diferent methods and placing of the ldr
pots and see how it goes..
and yeah the timing issue could be an option too...for general weirdness etc..

@mugshot...a few people came up with the ldr going to ground on the tiny tremolol...with in and out going into one side of the ldr
and the other end of the ldr to a pot then ground..this acted as a depth!..IIRC!!!!..i'll try it n see!.

on the subject of the panning/timing i measured the the 1k trim today, i have put 156r (100+56)resistor in place of it and works fine..
very 4/4 now...on my psu too...
so swap out the 220r on the bottom led on the vero for 156r....sorted..

heres the pulse im geting out of it...mono for now ok.just to give u all the range/idea!

made my 'vactrols' ...ok heres a rough clip of it....seems ok...not as choppy as i thought it might be....
i have this configured with the in to both ldrs..and the l/r out of the other end of the ldrs...as in the vero design..for now.

sounds great, i think...2 trems stereo...yay!  

ive updated the schematic on page 1..ok.

Waking this one up - d.a, how is the 555 ticking factor?  Haven't used my CMOS 555s yet. I hear terrible things about ticking.
LDRs have a resistance rating, yes?  What's that ohmage?
One more- is the modulation square or can it be softenend down a bit?

man this was 3 years ago, so i remember very litttle about it now..get it on breadboard and have a tinker with it.

try a cmos555 /  Im trying to  remember the actual model number but i think it was TS7555 that i had good results with.


the ldrs were 1M dark resistance IIRC...
