Place to check Capacitor codes?

Hey everyone,

I got a handfull of caps that I ordered from Small Bear, and I just want to check that I have calculated the values correctly.  So, is there a place where I can type in the code and it'll give me the value?

I calculated my values for the resistors, and I had quite a few off.  I just want to make sure which value they are before I start soldering them.

Thanks. :D

Normally the cap values are in picofahrad and there are 3 digits. The first two digits are the value, the third is the number of zero's.

For example:
472 = 4700pF = 4,7nF
104 = 100000 pF = 100nF

I hope this helps

Bye,

The wonderful (free) Electronics Assistant program at:

http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/

Has a calculator for capacitor codes (as well as resistor color code, series/parallel connection of resistors and capacitors, and other useful tools).

When I do a project, Electronics Assistant is always running on the computer next to my bench.

Hey Erik,

Looks like a good little application.  Thanks for the tip.

Peter.

That is EXACTLY what I needed.  Thank you million.  You are a hero.  I don't say the word hero a lot, but you sir, are the greatest hero in the history of the world.
