I breadboarded this one this evening.
Sounds good, not nearly as gainy as the Krankenstien, maybe just slightly less gainy than the Dr Boogie.
I can't get the drive pots to work off Vref between Q1 and Q2 like the schematics, but I did implement one between Q2 and Q3 that works well.
I dont much care for the "presence" which is why I put it on a switch.
Tommorow I will try the mods listed on the schematic ( I think thats to make it the other SLO 100 OD channel ?)
And record two clips one live and one into the PC
Anyway it does work, and sound good like this:

Hopefully tommorow I can try the Semenov version of the Mesa Boogie dual Recto (at GT labs) it doesnt look any thing like the Electra Tabs/Gausmarkov version.

Edit: I forgot to write down, when I took those voltage readings my battery was new at 9.7V my Vref was 4.9V ,and that gave me the 4.16V at Q1's drain with the components listed.

OK I finally recorded a clip.
This time I went LP >SLO 100 fet >into my little Crate 20 watt GX20M into the clean channel, flat EQ > large diaphram mic set 12" away.
AND I turned the pedal up and recorded at a decent volume.
NO FX ,or EQ or anything added just a single dry track.
You might download it and play in your Media player with a little EQ.

The second riff shows the tight bass response,
I discovered my Treble pot was *&# so I replaced it and now the presence works much better.
That was probably why I was having such a hard time with the Krankenstien tonestack  :icon_redface:  :icon_rolleyes:

Here is a better clip with the presence on.
And playing Master of Puppets riffs.
IMHO it sounds like a SLO 100 amp not a pedal into a practice amp driving a 2 x12 cab. :icon_cool:

Agreed - I have the SLO 100 OD preamp channel in my amp right now.  If I weren't a high gain tube amp snob, I'd say that this is the only high gain pedal I've ever heard that I would consider playing, but I'm a snob  ;)  Funny thing though, the schematic looks NOTHING like the SLO.  Whoever designed this had a good ear and a good understanding of what was going on.

Good job on the build and the clips.  Thank you.
