Hi, my friend just have me his Behringer delay to fix. The problem is is that there is no sound regardless whether the pedal is bypassed or not.

So what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Hides-His-Eyes

Does it power on? Look inside; is the PCB damaged?

Archer18

Yeah it does power on and the PCB doesn't look damaged.

Bad news. Could be a fried IC. Not really sure what to tell you.

Archer18

Would that cause it to not work even when bypassed?

Thanks for you help aswell  :)

Hides-His-Eyes

Possibly, depending on the implementation (software mixing)

The op-amp could be fried too

in terms of pedal price to debugging difficulty (and repair difficulty of SMD parts) I wouldn't waste any more time on it

i'd check the moving parts first. the jacks for one can push/pull such that their legs will pull up and/or break the traces on the board they are attached to... thats my guess, or possibly a broken wire or cold solder joint somewhere?
nothing says forever like a solid block of liquid nails!!!
