Quick question: topic where the function of this booster is explained

After buildinh a few pedals, I want to know what actually happens in the circuit.
If I'm correct, I remember there is a topic somewhere in which the function (electronics wise, what happens where in the circuit etc.) is explained. It could also be that it was the LPB-1 that was explained, I'm not sure. Anyhow, I can't find that thread anymore, could someone be so friendly to point to that thread for me?

And, since I'm already asking, are there any similar threads explaining the basic electronics of other basic circuits (fuzz octaver, EA tremelo etc.)?

Please pay attention to that file:
the 430k to 43k voltage divider is a 1/11 voltage divider, so the base of the transostor will be at 9V x 0,09 = 0,82V and not 8,2V as stated in the gif (point "R1 and R2").
