a Q for bypass switch..

Anyone done making an electronic bypass( using FETs) to Marshall shredmaster???

have done using C4066 and CD4053 but to no luck..... it sounds OK in bypass mode, but when in effect mode, I hear "squeelling" as if the switch acts as a feedback element... help pls.......
