Getting some 'pop'
« on: May 16, 2011, 05:37:39 PM »
I'm getting a  bit of pop when switching between boost and bypass, I still have the circuit on breadboard and tried putting a 5M resistor to ground
before the cap on the input, but I'm still getting a pop, I figured the resistor would at least reduce the pop but no.

Any suggestions?

Try putting a 10K resistor in series at the input of the circuit. I think this might solve your problem.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind.

After doing some tinkering I think the pop is coming from some loose connections in my protobox setup.
Sometimes it pops sometimes it doesn't, but strangely enough it only seems to do this with this circuit.
I'll have to do some investigating.
