I have aTube Works Real Tube 901 by Genz Benz dated to April 2002.

Here's the story: I took it apart thinking about doing a TB mod (since it has a 3PDT, not a momentary switch). After I put it back together (and let it run unattended for a while) I realized I had caused to some wires in the circuit to be shunted to ground when I reassembled it. I didn't notice this for about 15 minutes (I was letting my amp warm up). After I noticed it and unplugged it, I noticed that the transformer in the pedal had a really bad smell. The pedal hasn't worked since. The LED's don't even light up when you plug it in. There is no voltage going to the board from the transformer, so I am assuming I blew the transformer since I had a ground fault on the other side of the circuit.

I see Small Bear sells a 12v transformer. Would that be an adequate replacement for this pedal?

I saw a schematic that called for a 12.6 volt input for this circuit. The Small Bear transformer is rated at 12v. Close enough?

Thanks
Shaun

--PS: if anyone knows a TB mod for this pedal (with the 3PDT) jump in!
