Looking for NOS or pulls... Unijunction Transistors.(UJT's) (not PUJT's)..Trying to get around 100-200 of them for a project I am working on.

thanks!

Wow, I don't know where to find them.

toneman

www.digikey.com

search  "unijunction"

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=US&KeyWords=unijunction&x=0&y=0

www.mouser.com

search "unijunction"

http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=unijunction

A lot of times (mouser & digikey), UJTs and PUJTs are listed in the SCR category.

Just click on the part number and download the pdf datasheet.
THEN U will see that's it's a UJT or PUJT instead of an SCR.

A UJT should be cheap, say under 50cents.

A Programmable Unijunction wont work for this....The cheapest true Unijunctions Mouser or Digikey have are around 3-5 bucks a piece! ouch

While that may be true, I have yet to find an application that a true UJT will do that a PUT won't. Some redesign may be required, and the are not pin-for-pin, but that is after all what PUTs were for.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
