Neutron filter on 12V?
« on: August 04, 2011, 01:05:15 PM »
I was wondering if the Neutron will run on +/-12 volts. I have a regulated bi-polar 12v supply and it would be nice if I could use it directly.

As far as I can tell it should work fine, just make sure your components are rated for at least 12 volts.

You may have to fritter around with it to get it to sweep properly in the downward direction.  I can't see any issues with upward sweep, but the down sweep  presumes a starting point, which in turn presumes something about what voltage/current to feed the LED in the optoisolator so that it "begins" from the optimum starting point.
