The Boss RC-3 is a decent loop-station pedal, but the one thing I wish it had was an analog clock out. Square wave or pulses, anything between 1v and ~12v.

The tap-tempo LED blinks at the current tempo...was thinking I might b able to feed something off that circuit.

Any ideas?

Are you going to open it up?

Without a peek, it's all imaginary.

If not opening-up: put a photo-eye on the T-T LED. You'll probably have to shield the photo-eye from room-light; and that hides the T-T LED from your sight. But the photo-eye can light another light.

Being lazy, I picked a $5 part to save an hour of thinking how to innerface a photo-transistor.
