Crybaby Original to Jerry Cantrell mod - tone pot issue

Hi,

I've recently modded my crybaby original to match the Jerry Cantrell signature. I changed the sweep cap to 12nf - the new tone is awesome! And put in 4.7k (the JC uses a 5k) pot between the sweep pot and ground. However, the new pot is working as a volume knob not atone know as it does with the JC. I'm thinking that this maybe because i removed the input buffer a while ago when true-bypassing the pedal. Does anyone know if this is the case or not?

If it's wired like a normal tone pot, it shouldn't be doing that. I don't think that the absence of an input buffer would be a factor.

Is there a schematic for this particular circuit?
