hey mate, even my newb arse can help with this one.

the led (if using it just for in/bypass indication) doesn't go on the board, it's off the footswitch.

take a 1k-4.7k resistor straight off your power supply (battery  or input jack +) and connect it to the anode  (non flat, longer lead) end of the led.

connect the negative (flat side) of the led to your switch, and take the center terminal of the switch to ground (typically you want to star-ground things, put it to the sleeve, not the ring, connection of your input jack.)

like... if ya use one of them 3pdt switches, and number the poles like this:

1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9

3 and 6 you want to jumper together.

2 goes to the output jack's tip.

1 goes to the output from the board.

7 goes to the input of the board

8 goes to the input jack tip (you may want to add a jumper from pin 7 to pin 6, so you short the input of the effect to ground when the effect is off)

4 goes to the negative lead of your led

5 goes to input jack sleeve connection (with the rest of your grounds)

negative battery lead/connection to power jack goes to input jack ring....this will turn the circuit's power on only when there's a plug inserted to the input jack.

if not using a metal case, you may need to connect the sleeve/ground/earth connections of the input and output jacks.

hopefully i didn't mess this up too bad. ;)
