Show off pics of your commercial, pro, or exceptional builds!

Have something you think came out exceptionally professional looking? Toss it up here. Have a group of pedals going out to your local shop and ya wanna share? Show them off!

TROGDOR!!!    :icon_twisted:

If it were a contest, I'd say for sure, lol... awesome! Being a "Bean" pedal, I expect the guts look pretty nice, too.

I'm quite sure the guts are crap. But, I dare not look. I built this 4 or 5 years ago, I think.

D'astro, I've seen you build multiples before (I think) do you sell many pedals or do you have technically impaired guitar playing friends?

the latter....they go to friends really, i sell the odd one or 2 just to get more bits to experiment with.....i figure while i'm building myself 1 i may as well throw a couple more boxes in the etchant...

but no i'm not a 'commercial' builder....i couldn't be arsed with that!...(haven't the space either i'm just a living room builder)..but yes my mates have never held a soldering iron, they just about know how to put a kettle on :icon_rolleyes:.... but they play guitars...some good, some bad...but enjoy making noise too..thats what its all about eh!... :icon_cool:

Pro and exceptional... hmm...

I'd choose these:

I think those are the ones I like the most, really. There are some others, but they don't seem "exceptional".

Did I win?

Nice Bean.  They'll come for the wuggas, but stay for the jiggy juggas.

Seeing these makes me less proud of my own..... those spitfire's look awesome, and Slade, your etches are ALWAYS incredible!

When I was in radio controlled model boats I've read a book.  The guy was saying that if he seen a model at the pond he would rather see an imperfect model made with standard hand tools than a geometrically perfect one made with expensive machinist tools.

I look at it like studio music vs. live. It doesn't diminish from the music to hear little screwups during a live setting... quite to the contrary, those "blemishes" help characterize the song. Most people don't even notice, but even so, they can "feel" it. In the studio, the beat may have been dead on, machined to perfection... and that is why you buy an album, but live version of the song may have a bit of a swing to it, or more character. That is why we go to shows. And on the way to the store to buy the album, or on the way to see the show, we enjoy the rest of the music of our life, the people around us and all things they do, however insignificant or silly they may seem to others.

If a person tries, someone else will always appreciate it just for that fact alone... or should. I forgot about the "worst builds" thread, lol... some of those aren't as bad as the makers thought. In art, you learn to incorporate your mistakes... some of the pics, though, look like they hit the brick wall... I have wasted a more than a couple projects that definitely hit that point, lol. But, to each person, that may be their butt-ugly baby, and that is what matters, really. No project is really any "better" than the other, but rather each project is unique in it's own way. If someone loves their project enough to show it off, I don't see why it shouldn't or wouldn't be appreciated, even if everyone has to look away in horror.   ;D

More than once I've had arguments when I've claimed that there's no bad music, just music you like and music you don't like, music someone else likes and music someone else doesn't like. And by the way, the ones who argue the most with that are usually musicians themselves.

I was very happy with the tone and visual results.

Very good job, Fernando +++ . Those etchings are nonetheless nice, but surely abuse-resistant, and so : durable... A quality which is not so often found in the DIY stompbox world, I think.

A+!
