Finished it tonight................ but it won't run at all without the programming device attached.  :-[ errrr...

Wow. Sorry to hear that.  :(  I think that one of the contest qualifications is that digital effects have to function without programming devices attached.

Yeah I've been trying to figure it out for like 4 hours. Really frusterating....

I was messing with you.  Seriously-I hope you get it figured out.  I read somewhere today that when you've been trouble shooting for hours, it helps to get away from it for a while and come back to it fresh.  Having said that, it's hard for me to step away from a project that's not doing what it's supposed to be doing. Good luck! :)

I hope you get it figured out too! If I don't get something finished, at least I wanna see other people posting cool stuff! It'll just depress me if we ALL don't finish...

Seriously, who's got their awesome all bagged up and ready to go?

My boards are etched and stuffed.

Now if I can only get time to etch new boards, move some components from the old boards, stuff anything I can't be bothered salvaging from the old on there too, work out some mechanical aspects, drill the enclosure, manufacture at least two parts (wooden and metal), paint the enclosure (two colors), design and print labels, apply them, clearcoat, assemble everything, work out why it doesn't work when boxed up and redo any part that doesn't fit/work as I thought, then I'm done ;D

"Boards" plural, wood AND metal, and two tone paint. Hmmm... Clues as to what we're up against... ;)

EDIT: I guess I can give a clue about mine.  I'm building the first nuclear powered stomp box and I just finished the nuclear reactor. The only problem is I'm afraid to stomp it...   :o

I forgot to mention it'll use parts if fireworks ;D

No, really, it will.

I need to buy a box, figure out some way to decorate it so it doesn't look like "complete crap" and finally make a hole for this  ;D

I sort of temp fixed it by using one of these instead of a naked chip hooked up to my breadboard.
http://www.mikroe.com/eng/products/view/711/mini-32-board/
but I don't like it much. it would be a section of pcb "I didn't make".... I'm gonna give myself a couple more days to try and figure out the problem with the naked chip. otherwise I'll have to go with this, in case pcb fabbing takes a month. I'm taking into account that the last few pages up to 1000 might be sped through. ;)

Why should you not have 90o angles? Do the electrons bunch up in the corners?

All this talk of towels has given me a great idea for my design, thanks guys :)

Don't forget this competition is mostly about building something that looks amazing, given that my only previous effort at pedal graphic design is this, I don't think you've got much to worry about.

Had mine done for a while now!  :o

I literally worked on it from start to finish with all available time till it was done.

If we all make delays maybe they can be piggybacked and feedback looped to circumvent the apocalypse?

Is it possible that there is a PT2399 workaround to the end of days? Things might get weird once the repeats get warbly...

Seriously though, if you are making some kind of delay: post an embarrassed face  :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

Mine has a burst box built in !

and lots of these

Mine can be a delay if that's what you want so  :icon_redface:
