I was messing with you.  Seriously-I hope you get it figured out.  I read somewhere today that when you've been trouble shooting for hours, it helps to get away from it for a while and come back to it fresh.  Having said that, it's hard for me to step away from a project that's not doing what it's supposed to be doing. Good luck! :)

I sort of temp fixed it by using one of these instead of a naked chip hooked up to my breadboard.
http://www.mikroe.com/eng/products/view/711/mini-32-board/
but I don't like it much. it would be a section of pcb "I didn't make".... I'm gonna give myself a couple more days to try and figure out the problem with the naked chip. otherwise I'll have to go with this, in case pcb fabbing takes a month. I'm taking into account that the last few pages up to 1000 might be sped through. ;)

At least your project would have the capability of connecting directly to the computer.

I forgot to mention it'll use parts if fireworks ;D

No, really, it will.

Hopefully nothing like this:

That is unbelievably stupid on a level that makes me feel shame for laughing at it, and no, not like that.

Those kids are definitely on the far left side of the gaussian distribution for intelligence!  I'm sure their parents are proud of them.

oh I'd much rather it didn't, believe me. ;) it doesn't *quite* look as DIY when the pic's on a little daughterboard. and it takes up more realestate.

anyways, tonight I put the finishing touches on it. it's now in a state where I can design the PCB layout and ship it off to be fabbed. I'd etch it myself if it weren't for all the SMD and the double-sides I need.

it sounds cool!  :icon_biggrin:

though slacker is making me nervous  :P  ;D

Seriously though, if you are making some kind of delay: post an embarrassed face  :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

:icon_redface:  :icon_redface:  :icon_redface:

done that few pages back, +1 ona delay based pedak ....and these are the reasons why I choose a delay (hope it's clear enugh ;)  ;)

If on 21-12-2012 something bad happens, just turn the delay knob to max delay ... gives you more time to do what you never did but you wish you did!!
if on 21-12-2012 something good happens, just turn the repeat knob, gives you long/endless good times!!
and the level knob just set the level of good and bad!!

+1  :icon_redface:  :icon_redface:  :icon_redface:

though, more emphasis on "some kind of" than on "delay". it's a bit..... strange.

I'm procrastinating, does that count as a delay  ???

LOL!  The "Procrastinator".  Who's going to be the first to etch that for their delay pedal?

Yes procrastination counts! I've scared myself with my own idea a bit and don't know where to start. The stakes are high and I'm trying to to something a bit more complicated than just fuzz

Why should you not have 90o angles? Do the electrons bunch up in the corners?

Vallhagen

Well folks... im in... i think. I actually have an idea :)

...so... off to the breadboard. and to the 10 USD payment.

Cheers

@ Rob... if YOU took the time to take that pic, then you have a horrible poker face... No Towels for You!! (no, really... that was the first thing I looked for in the picture, lol!)

He didn't have a towel left to throw in, so...
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

With how much money Nasa projects cost they better be some of those Oil Impregnated Metalized Polyester caps that cost like 75$ a pop  ;D

Just for inspiration.

By the way, I probably should start building my entry soon.

I suppose I could do the enclosure while I wait for PCBs to arrive.  :icon_confused:

I'm bummed, the drone box I planned to include doesn't drone , more spacious and plucky... Any body know of a cheap drone box with more of an Indian sound? Like harmonium or tamboura?

I'll probably start mine today. If my smallbear shows up
