nicofx's is my pick enclosure-wise, and I'm seriously jealous of slacker's DSP skills! and I have a soft spot for Geoff's sam and max!  :icon_redface: they're all so amazing! I think Jdansti is gonna get it. it's just so insane! :icon_eek: I'm actually afraid of it! the video was ace too!

First I want to thank all who posted entries for the amazing pedal porn you have graced us mere mortals with!  ;D
Now I have to say; of all the entries 2 stand out as so unique it would be a gross injustice for one of them not to win. All the builds here are works of art.
The 2 I am talking about have taken it to the next level. Won't say which 2 (you probably have figured it out...  ;) ) as there are too many entries by folks I consider amigos.
Good luck to all. And thanx again for the porn!
Mystery lounge. No tables, chairs or waiters here. In fact, we're all quite alone.

Thanks, Cloudscapes, but I'm really a dwarf amongs giants here (no offense to dwarfs). As for the video, I can't be in front of a camera or audience without being goofy (my Texas drawl even got thicker!).  I did it to show that the pimped-out toilet seat was functional (for music) and not a fake.  I also did the video for a laugh. I think that the judges will be fair to all of the contestants since videos were not required.

I'm just glad that I'm not a judge, because every time a new entry was posted, I thought, AMAZING-This is the winner!!!  When the time for posting was over and I reviewed the entries again, I thought, "I wish that I could do that!!!" for each one.

Yeah, the entries were amazing! I think everyone topped everyone else in one area or another. I hope we do this again! Not for awhile, though, as ideas of the caliber posted here don't come along every day (not to me, at least!).

I must say, this competition really brought out the best in you guys. All of these builds are just beautiful!

syntaxera

wow, there is some SERIOUS TALENT on this board :)   great job EVERYONE!

It's not easy picking a favorite, anyone would cream to own ANY of those boxes... for sure

Govmnt_Lacky

I definitely appreciate FC and Slade's position right now. Must be agonizing to rate each build for it's own merit.

It certainly looks like all of the entrants put their hearts and souls into the builds. Looking back on the 666 competition I feel there was definitely a step up in the right direction and I would hate to see the next competition builds!  :icon_eek:

Good Luck to all  ;D

Seems pretty easy to me! They just have to ask themselves which entry they'd most like to see in a video demo combined with their phaser (which I DEFINITELY promise to do if I win!).

Just kidding about the easy part. Not kidding about the video. If the winner doesn't do that, they will feel the wrath of Zombie Hendrix!

I'm just a hack really, apart from the tap tempo delay, which I'm really proud of, most of the other stuff is existing building blocks cut and pasted together. There's masses of example code at the Spin website and forum.

Be interesting to see what you could do with it.

BEAUTIFUL builds everyone!!!

I knew I didn't have a chance against you guys (most of my builds are pretty utilitarian, that's why I didn't bother to enter) but I sure did enjoy following this whole thing.

Really slacker, take credit where credit is due... A hack you are certainly not. I was actually scared when you posted that DSP screen early on.

slacker

Cheers, fair point. I was just a bit thrown by hearing that from cloudscapes, the stuff he does is beyond my skills, I certainly appreciate the comment by the way, should have made that clear.

pakrat

I apologize slacker, I really didn't mean to come off as though you don't appreciate the comments. As far as I'm concearned, all of you guys have some serious skills.

slacker

No need to apologise, I didn't take your post like that, just made me realise I hadn't said thanks that's all :)

markeebee

You are all mad.  And beautiful.

got the guilts here. absolutely awesome stuff from all contributors. special big thanks to robmdall for paying my entrance fee (hard times). all for a good cause but got the guilts regardless. life got in the way. plan to make up for it by offering a booby prize for a member voted runner up once fc and slade have done pulling their hair out trying to make their minds up on the real winner - is that ok? how to do it? forum poll or just pm's i guess - we'll figure it out once the true winner is announced. aron? don't get too excited, it really is a booby prize but is in keeping with the compo theme - i just missed the deadline and it's just a bit of forum fun. i'll cover postage. good job and good luck everyone!
