Congrats to whoever ends up the winner. So many great pedals, and a great community where everyone is positive and supportive. These competitions should be taken in fun, after all there is no specific criteria... we have a theme, aesthetics, complexity, innovation, techniques... so many factors to weigh. This isn't the best etch, the best smd, the best uC/dsp programming or any other specific comp... it's a free for all. As a result, we've seen ideas all over the map... and I like it that way. In the end, I know I have a pedal I love, and may have inspired a few people.
If there are other comps in the future, I'll probably try to hit the theme more directly... I would think that's the biggest factor. Quarterly is about as often as I would participate.
