Tried an idea I've had for quite a while but never got around to it. Decided to try it on an old fuzz face with no graphics (been meaning to sand this down and start over) other than my crappy handwriting. Yes, that writing shines through the decal.

Guessed it yet?

If you guessed temporary tattoo you're quite correct. Apply as per instructions (as if on skin) and be careful to avoid/work out the air bubbles. This one has a coat of clear on it. Other than the fact that I got an air bubble and damaged it a little with careless handling (don't rub the wet decal with tissue paper) it's just about perfect. Super thin decal so almost no edges and there's lots of cool patterns and figures to choose from.

Search ebay for temporary tattoos or visit your local toy shop. I think I'm gonna put one on each bottom plate from now on, just for fun, even if I do custom graphics on the top.

So that was the one that got all sticky and messy :icon_eek:

No, just tattoos, packs of about 8 to 10. There's some cool larger ones on ebay that'll almost fill the backplate of a 1590B 8)

Thread resurrection.

Did some spacescape art, street style. I'd like to eventually do this on enclosures. It's fairly easy and quick with a couple cans of spray paint, stencils, and magazine paper for texture. I can be more careful and exact in the coming weeks, but I think the test runs came out pretty cool looking given how quickly and cheaply these were done. I highly recommend looking this stuff up, it's pretty incredible what people can do with spray enamel and paper.

Awesome thread! Cool designs too  ;D

I've studied Inkscape for the sole purpose of making pedal designs like these, and here are my works so far:

N-Channel MOSFET Boost pedal, Adventure Time motif

P-Channel MOSFET Boost pedal, Adventure Time motif (gender-bent character used, to call attention to the negative/positive ground thing)

Dual EP-Pre pedal with independent/slaved switching for one side, Pikotaro motif (silly, I know)

Speaker Sim and JFET Splitter pedal, Celestion Vintage 30 motif (I credited the designers for their circuits)

RunOffGroove.com Thor, with pots instead of switches for the Bottom and Bright controls, Marshall motif

Keeley Katana clone, John Mayer's "Continuum" album font style motif

MXR Distortion+/DOD 250/DOD YJM308 hybrid, modified MXR motif

MXR Phase 90 clone, modified MXR motif

Paul Cochrane Timmy clone with reverse EQ controls, same font as original

I made a lot more, but these are some of the (IMO) best I've done.
