Found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmx2r4CopvM and fell in love with those sounds...mailed the author at once, but he wrote he has got no schematic for it...Does anyone know how to recreate that frekin' circuit!? I am quite a noob at LFOs or VCOs or anything "synthy"...

Interesting...

The "Wilson" filter refers to the Ray Wilson site, musicfromouterspace.com.  It sounds like there is a white noise source being introduced into the mix by a square wave LFO to me.  Then another low pass filter on the whole mix.  The keyboard is just selecting a different resistor value to trigger the 555 osc.  Hope this helps....

Ray Wilson's site is one of my favorite places on the interwebs, the page for the WSG is like reading a Dr. Bronner's bottle.
New and exciting innovations in current technology!

If you like that sort of sound, why not try the "Crash Sync"?

555 is such a great sound! I think 4ms "Triwave Picogenerator" used this, but it is more of a chaos synth. Their PCB's are out of production right now for re-design. I built a Delptronics ring modulator kit, the ring mod is passive/classic diode/transformer design but the onboard oscillator is a 9V 555 that sounds great! So raw and rough!

built it, nice if you want to get some "MUSE-y" sound, I did it for fun but then dismantled...
not really what I am after...it wasn't too "synth-y " - I'd really love to have a EH synth but it's quite expensive (for the limited use it would have)

I'd really love to have this kind of sound and controls, maybe a small "bass pedalboard"...

He was kind to reply me, even if no schem is available...from the video page...

Yeah, it's not too synthy.... but I don't consider that 555 keyboard to be synthy sounding at all. It reminded of the Crash Sync.  :icon_lol:
