brain freeze help!! i thinks theres an easier way!

i have +9v dc  current
i have a momentary switch
need to turn a relay " on"  and "off" with alternate pushes of momentary switch.
ive only played around with 1 type of relay before, 5v dpdt, which i think is a non latching,
is a latching relay  what i need ?
or do i need some fancy csom chip / transistor mosfety ciruit?
i have a few cd4xxx  lying around, but never designed anything with them?
