Guys I just boxed up my latest Dirt box and its the first time I've used the tonepad N05 switch wiring (input to earth on bypass)
It might be relevant I'm not sure.
Heres the problem before boxing up it was really loud and worked a treat but now it only works when the effect is switched in but its whisper quite.
And to top it all it doesnt work on bypass (no signal)
Help me out its been a long hard day and i love this effect so please suggest some possible causes.
Thanks
Rich

I used a shielded wire for the pcb input and grounded to the input jack shield(common ground)
pcb grounded at dc jack series to input jack shield.

I'm such a numpty.
I'd got the output jack socker (switched type) wired on the disconnected switch side corrected that and the bypass works now.

Now its gone from bad to worse
the effect only works with a battery. Not the wallwart.
I guess its the dc jack now. I dunno.

Nice troubleshooting there!

Glad the result was good.

Sorry Rich, but I'm going to admit to having a very small laugh at your expense.   :D   Not that I have any reason to!  Was trouble-shooting at the weekend, had been patching and re-patching, and at one point my signal, such as it was, disappeared completely.  Took me far longer than I like to admit until I spotted there was no lead plugged into the amp...   :icon_rolleyes:   Ho hum...
