That layout shows C4 going to the gain pot wiper (G2), but looking at Doug's schematic C4 goes to Q1's collector?  :?
I've built it as per Doug's schem and it worked but I was under the impression that the gain pot was working a little different/weird (well it's a tottaly different kind of gain control for me)
then I've conpared the schem with this layout and now I'm confused...

Even if both (schem / layout) may result in a working gain pot.
Anyone could check that? Maybe the layout or the schem could have a typo?

Hi Kleber,

I think you are confusing C3 and C4. C3 goes to Q1 collector and the other side to C4 the Gain Pot Wiper.

The perfboard look ok to me.

This is true on the perf layout but not at the schem. At the schem C3 "AND" C4 really goes to Q1's collector, and this is the only difference from the perf layout.

I believe that both would work as gain control but maybe in a different way.

C4 is not connected to Q1's collector.....

(I removed the part values from the Original Schematic, which can be requested by Doug Hammond, also read this post)
