Just thinking out loud here, but has anyone had a peak inside the MXR Double Shot? It sure seems like a similar thing with a normal channel & a hot channel. Just add a marshall tone stack to each channel of a Double D and you'd have a similar thing I would think. Opinions?

There are the switches too, if I remember right they are called Focus. The olny thing that I know is that the hot channel is the same as the MXR Dime, the Dimebag Darrell's custom pedal. And the focus switch in hot channel change the mids, I just don't know if the switch boost the mids or cut it.

Hey, I'm wondering why MXR made these two separate pedals and released them at the same time.  
The Dime Distortion is $169 (List)/$99 (Musician's Friend); the Double Shot is $189 (List)/$129 (Musician's Friend).  Half of the DS is the exact same circuit as the Dime, so the entire other channel on the Double Shot ("Vintage") only costs $20-30 more.  Who wouldn't fork over the extra cash for the Double Shot?  
Maybe the Dime is directed to those who absolutely want it to say "Dimebag Darrel" on it, or want to be be able to say "this is the same pedal my man Dimebag uses," instead of "well, the same circuit is integrated into this one."  

Just wondering aloud.
