Not suprised there- about the wasabis. Maybe an upper scale danelectro? both from Evets Corp. Hmmm..

Hey!   Are those eye tubes on the Electro-Harmonix NY-2A??? Maybe 6E1P?

Eschew paradigm obfuscation

I heard the EH compressor was gonna be wicked expensive... 2k? Weird that they are pushing into the "pro audio" side of things instead of the stompbox world, but hey, why not. I love companies that have the balls to do something new.

Not that a stereo rackmount compressor is totally new, but you know what I mean...

Yes! (dunno which type, though...)

Anthonie (didn`t design this one...)

Rodgre

Aw yeah..... They're reissuing the Pulsar.... or is it a new circuit? I wonder.

Why am I so jazzed about Tremolo? Could it be that I run a studio called Tremolo Lounge?

Hmmm?

new one....

based on a little thing I don`t have a picture of, just the design-layout/drill-template of the prototype I made...

Actually Aron, it's two Muff Fuzzes cascaded.  I actually played through one of those in 1973, sticking one of the little boxes (these are the little palm-sized units) into another.  Yeessh!!  We were playing in a school gym, and the feedback was so bad with that sucker kids must have had it coming out of their lockers 2 weeks later.

E-H is definitely moving in a higher-end direction from the looks of it.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the rackmount envelope-controlled filter is the consulting or even design handiwork of Mike Beigel.  He retweaked the Mutron for them as Q-Tron.  Now is as good a time as any for the big Mutron Envelope Controlled Filter (and I mean bigger than a Biphase) that never made it past prototype, and the Beigel rackmount unit that sold a limited number of units before disappearing, to re-emerge in a fully-fledged form.  This sure looks like it has.  Now I'm wondering if they'd ever re-release the big rackmount guitar synth.

Ibanez's "re-issue" of TS-808 is souring me big time.  Talk about a money grab.  $240 for what?  For a few 5-cent component changes to an existing board?  Is that a $150 paint job and a $20 switch?  I'm not impressed.  Not at all.

The Guyatone stuff  is smart, very smart, I mean smart enough to send other companies scrambling.  In an era when we are so accustomed to Zoom pedals that give you tons of effects with one parameter to vary, what a delight to have someone milk a single kind of effect for everything its worth and take tweakability out to the stratosphere.  I think I'm gonna like this year of gear.

Thanks Jorge.

240 bucks for a TS-808 seems over-the-top though. :?
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Mark: of course You´re right:  the Bi-Filter is an all-new Beigel-thing with co-operation of John Pisani (E-H-engineer who did the "Holy Grail")...

2 muffs cascaded.................bloody stupid if you ask me - it'll probably bring the company down - is this a measure of the younger generation's obsession with fuzz boxes to mask their abysmal playing?????????
better to be in bad taste than to taste bad

Jered

Hi Ed Rembold,
I've been wondering when you were going to finally post your site. All ready to go I take it.
If you guys haven't checked Ed's pedals out yet, please do, absolutely top of the line.

Uncle,

I think it's a great idea! The more distortion the better!

Actually you can cascade or parallel. I don't know, I like it.

But I am equally sure I did this long ago! YES, my abysmal playing needs it! :-)

smoguzbenjamin

Wait 'till you hear me play! Been playing for three years now but never had a guitar lesson in my life because my parents won't pay them...

The only thing I learnt in those three years is a couple of licks, chords, but most of all that if you want to be cool instantly, you shouldn't try to do music. It takes time to be cool at music 8) I'm cool 'cause I have many many gadgets but my playing isn't that great

Bucksears

It might actually be kinda cool to rig another footswitch in the Double Muff and swtich between the single/double fuzz that way.

Rory

Hells yes!  Two big muffs!  In one box!  Hey wait, I could do this myself...  wait a second... Thanks for the link, I love this time of year!  ! and ! and !
