Does it matter which way around I put the cables on my dpdt switch?

Here you see the switch...does it also work, if the green cable is on the top...?

If the green jumper is 'on top' you've just flipped the switch round, it doesn't matter. The two poles act as two seprate switches, controlled by one action, so which pole you use for what doesn't make a difference.

now I connected the cables like in the image above (the link), but either I hear the distorted sound, or nothing. So my bypass is wrong...is this picture wrong?

smoguzbenjamin

Are you sure your jumpers are connected properly? ;) Because it's either that or a faulty switch. Switches don't fail that easily.

ahhh I looked another description, and now I think I know what's wrong, I'll test it in 5 minutes

DaKurt

and I think the Schematic IS wrong, the right-middle and right-top should be reversed, shouldn't they?

smoguzbenjamin

You're right ;) I didn't see that, I'm kinda tired. I must go to bed now, night-night see you all tomorrow ;)

Congratulations on your build!
