I'm not one to usually get excited, but I feel this may be relevant here:  Any of you heard anything by this guy?  It's completely effects-laden ultra-psychedelic rock.  Buzzsaw distortions.  All instruments phase shifted.  Flanging.  Backward guitar solos.  Complete ear candy that it is, still it tragically remains underground due to the fact that it is too weird for 13 year old girls to enjoy.  Therefore record execs turn their nose up to this kind of art.  Their loss.  He's been ahead of his time for over 25 years.  I hear rumour that he is also a DIY'er.  Are any of you are familiar with his music or the effects that he uses or has used in the past?  I can dial some of these tones in with my existing gear, but it would be really cool to find out what he really uses to create some of that insane racket.  Seeing him live in concert got me started in the whole DIY hobby/psychosis.  Staticwhitesound.com has his records for sale off their site.

helios creed is amazing! last thing i'd ever expect to read about on this site. have you heard the chrome stuff? truly some of the spookiest music ever put out...as far as effects, i saw him many times, but never took a close look at his pedals. you can bet there were several phasers and fuzzes. my friend rey was his drummer for a while...maybe i should ask him.
thanks for reminding me about a true sickie.    jon

Half Machine Lip Moves (1979) is one of my all-time favorite albums.  They were really great until he left the band.  It's too bad that "Guitar Shop" hasn't done a feature on him.  Of course that could be said about a lot of the people on this chatroom.

Never heard of this person, but I now feel inclined to seek it out.
