My buddy reverse connected a battery in the active electronics in his Carvin bass and fried something.  

Does anybody have a schematic or know where to get one for the active electronics in a Carvin bass?

I would like to fix it for him...otherwise costs him $30 an hour for the local repair tech do it.

not sure about that circuit specifically - but look first for a polarity protection diode (which would fry before everything else to protect it - like a fuse)...  and if that fails - look for bad electros.

Shouldn't be too much in there.

I have the schematic, but no way to scan it right now.....also it's at home and I'm at work. IIRC there is a small electrolytic cap, that and the dual op-amp chip would be your likely culprits. Both are on the same board as the bass and treble knobs. I can try to get you a scan of the schematic sometime this weekend if no one else chimes in first.
