The Bass Fuss struck me as the most spartan transistor fuzz ever...and I got to wonderin' what it's opamp equivilant would be.  So I did some reading and came up with this schematic.  Does it look right...or am I way off?  I used a combination of info from JD Sleep's site, Runoff Groove, & a TL071 datasheet to come up with it.

The only thing that catches my eye is the 4.7 uF electrolytic, I think it should be the other way round (+ towards higher voltage)?

I believe you're correct!  Thanks for spotting that out.

I've also been playing with ExpressPCB (thanks peter), and came up with a PCB layout for it.  That's assuming the schem a) works and b) sounds any good.  It's a shame I don't have any TL071s lying around so I can try it.

ACK!  I've discovered another error on my shematic;  Pin2 is IN- and Pin3 is IN+ on the TL071.  I corrected it in the .PCB though.

Even if the pins and cap polarity are corrected, the circuit will only work as a unity gain buffer.

You could try a 100 Ohm resistor and a 47uF cap in series connecting the inverting input to ground. You can even try eliminating the 10k feedback resistor.
