okay... i have a dual marshall footswitch box, withboth switches on it, and i have an idea of what i want to make (this will be my first box) but i dont know what i will need and the schematic of what i wanna do...

okay, what i want to do is;
a dual volume/line boost...

the switches i have, i hope will suffice, they are SPDT...

so i was thinking, use them as on off switches for a volume/line boost and i will need to buy some pots, but i dont know which ones

i want the left switch to be a smallish boost, then the right one a big boost...

any idea's how i would do this?
without a LOT of wiring, coiz i dont have any experience, i just get how i would have to do it in my head, just dont know the components... and is there a way i could do it so it is passive, and wouldnt need power, or am i dreaming?

A boost isn't possible without gain - and that means active components.
true bypass is not possible with an SPDT, but you can build a booster that ups it's gain from unity to +xxdB when you hit the switch.
A passive workaround is to use a (1M?) potentiometer as a volume pot in a switchable pedal (in to top lug, wiper to out, bottom lug to ground) and have the SDPT short middle to top lug. That way you get a predefined *decrease* in volume (can be compensated with a booster, but that's an active again) with a "pseudo-boost" to normal volume when you hit the switch.

You might check out the reviews of Joe Gagan's Bronto Boost:

I'm having trouble finding the schem for you ...the 'not found on this server' crap....when I search the schem archives.   Someone here might know if its available.

Try an LPB1, check out http://www.generalguitargadgets.com and look for the LPB. It's active, yes, but easy-to-build and a simple introduction to electronics and transistors, and how they work. Try and and have some fun! ;)

You can just use 2 LPBs in one box and then set the boost on each one with a pot. That way you could cascade them and make a fuzz ;)
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
