I just replaced my Keeley Modified RAT's distortion POT with a 100KB linear POT as the gain was far too jumpy for my liking. After I put the new pot I can't seem to get that cranky marshall type of sound ? Any Ideas ?
As for Keely replying to his emails and being very helpful. I wouldn't bother I have sent him 5 on this subject and recieved no replies.

What was the original value of the pot?

I think the original value was 150k.

If you reduce the value of the pot, you get less gain, IIRC.
