i have been in a 3 month battle with a guy from sweden we were going to trade pedals i sent mine after receiving his. i kept al the stuff like my part of the customs form. and i even put insurance on it.. although not enough

long story short
1. address messed up pedal came back
2. resent, with sig confirmation
3. got confirmation back of sig, then like 3 weeks later hear ffrom dude saying he didtn' get his pedal. wants 40 bucks instead
4. tried paypal thru a friend, mail looses 40 bucks,
5. mail finds 40 bucks sends it to me and complains that i sent cash in mail
6.send out 40bucks in greeting card to sweden on the 9th of feb. on 20th guy emails back and is threatening me and stuff no sweat on that
7.global flat rate small envelop 5$  ship back his original pedal

so what do you guys think i feel i have gone out of my way to try to appease this guy.  only reason i have tried is i try to keep all of my deals done and have a good standing name when it comes to mailing stuff,  my mail sucks unless i go out of state to mail..

i am only a few miles from the state line so it isnt' a real big deal but i usually go only once a week so i can drop off mail all at once.

i figure if he keeps screwing with me and threatengin me so more i will turn over all the proof of recepits to his  local authorities???

any ideas from the forum

edited.  mental note it takes 19 days aprox from my house to the UK last time i mailed something that way, i dont' think it is normal but i figured hey they got there stuff

I guess I'm another good example of international shipping being slow, eh ansil ;)

I think you did all you could. You can allways go to the cops if he really starts being an asshole, you've still got all the paperwork so if anyone's to blame it's the mail services :)

Edited: Oh yeah a gun could help too ;) lol
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Just an idea, but fax the guy his signature on the docket.  Maybe it's not his.  Could be that somebody faked a signature and stole the pedal (?), and that's why he's irate.  If it IS his signature, it proves he got the pedal - end of story.

I think that even talking about guns is stupid.

I think the most difficult time I've had shipping was to Japan, but so far everything I've shipped has been recieved.

I know Ansil, Bruce Bennett, and I live about 3hrs. from each other. I still haven't recieved their packages yet. I think all that had gone out 3-4 weeks ago. So yes, I'd say your shipping from you guys is screwy. Next time I think I'll drive down..... 8)
