Sure they're plastic and sort of cheap, but the 9v battery slot is built in and you could just coat the inside with aluminum foil.  (that's not a 2 AA battery slot, is it?)

look's like aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'z . you could mod it easy. but i'm tell'n you, it's all about time. i don't have any . so i like to use enclosures i can drill, finish ,and use.
   for one off's it's open season type fun .........i say the crazier the better!!!!!!
if i had the money and time i'd make wood enslosures.

My best one looking box is Wood IMO.
 I say you can make a metal box fancy and sharp as can be and it still won't look like wood...lol...Of course my metal boxes arent all fancy and sharp either so...
 Making a wood box look great isn't that hard   if you have the tools, which I actually don't.
 Actually I think I could do pretty good starting with the right depth wood stock and a power miter saw, and belt sander, and a router, and lol..a table saw with dado...etc

yep, sadly looks like 2xAA.... though a 9V could fit, you'd just have to rig up the connector...
