Wah Pedal Debugging NEED HELP!

Ok I've got the wah circuit built to the specs of the basic wah schem on www.geofex.com .  However, the circuit only works as a volume control.I just noticed that the caps I thought were .22uf were actually .022uf would this cause a problem?  Also, I wanted to start a thread for wah building I figure it's such a historic effect and it'd be nice to have some nice debugging info for builders.  If this sounds good maybe we can get a section of our own.

Those caps are definately a problem. In debugging, measure the voltages of ICs, transistors and anything else with more than 2 legs first, and either post them here when you don't know exactly what they mean, or if you do know what they mean you can use those results to find the problem.
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

The 4.7uF cap should non polarized. If it was polarized and reversed I think you would get this volume instead of wah effect.
Not sure about those other caps but the values are way off so I wouldn't be surpirsed at all.
Change those caps and check the 4.7 cap too if it still happens.

OK my stupid local RS was out of .22uf caps and I don't have any can I use 2 .1uf caps in parallel to solve this?  I plan on using ceramic ones labled 104 these should work right?  Damn RS phasing out their components.  I wish I lived in the internet theyve got everything there!!

2 0.1uF caps in parallel will male 0.2uF. Close enough. They're marked 104. Think of it like they mark resistors, but then with numbers instead of colours. 10 *10^4 = 100000pF = 0.1uF ;)
