Yes, and yes..
Feel free to ask any questions you like - mine works great.

Kewl.  :D

Now Mark, I have two questions in my mind:

1-The dimensions of the cabinet...Is there a specific (or recommended) calculation there or whatever you like is fine?

2-When you crank your amps volume up  to 10, is there any voice coming out of the isolation box or still totally silent?

I really wanted to build one and now seeing a dude who has successfully built one, I made my mind. I AM going to try to build one.

Thanks for your help mate. Appreciated.

I kinda eyeballed the size.. used the measurements for a typical 1x12 cab - and then gave it some breathing room for the top portion.

If I dime my bassman - you can certainly hear it in the room, it's not completely silent... but it's 'low-volume practice amp' volume..

About as loud as if you turned on the TV in the room..  you can still hear what you're playing - but your neighbors won't!

Awesome stuff Mark, nice detail with the pictures too.  I've been thinking of trying this for a while, and I think you have inspired me to go ahead and do it.   Nice recordings too, thanks.

I'd recommend this as a project!
It's a heck of a lot easier (IMHO) than most of the projects that we do here.

You should be able to go down to your local lumberyard and have them cut the pieces for you - after that it's simple.  If you don't have the tools to cut the speaker hole - head down to a local car-stereo installer.. give them a few bucks, and I'm sure they'll do it for you (they have templates & tools just for that).

After that - it's just screws & glue.
