Possible McMeat schematic error?

Just wondering if this is an error or my misreading of the schema/pcb layout. http://home.planet.nl/~joep.remkes/mcmeat.pdf

Just before "I" on the schematic, there is a 100ohm resistor (R7), and just before that is D4.R6 and D3 are tied to the output of the LM1458 (IC2) just ahead of D4. In the PCB Layout, Both R6 and D4 are tied and tied to one end of of R7, and R6 is not directly tied to Pin 1 of the 1458 at all. (It is connected through D3).

Is one of these wrong or am I misreading? The schematic is dated 14-2-2004.

Hi Samuel,

The schem is right, the PCB is wrong. I fixed it in my own prototype, but not on the PCB

I'll upload the corrected version asap.

For the people who have already made the PCB, it's easy to fix. Remove R6 from it's original location and piggy back it to D3. Done...

OK, I corrected the PCB and uploaded a new version of the file.

Yeah the schem looked "right" to me. Obviously one of them had to be wrong! Glad that got fixed. Thanks for the schem/PCB joep!

Joep

Actually the schem looks wrong! Initially I "corrected" the schem with a schoolbook opamp rectifier, because I though Moosapotamus' schem was wrong. It turned out to be correct.....so I corrected the drawing, and corrected my prototype. Unfortunately I forgot to correct the PCB.

Bye and goodluck building!

I'll let you know how it turns out, joep.
