Hi all,

I've been playing with names for quite a while for one design I have (a JFET/MOSFET/JFET design) and I was thinking of calling it the "NovaDrive" after a line in a Hawkwind song.

I was wondering if this name had been used in the past. I know "Super Nova" has been, but I hope this is removed enough to not cause confusion. (?)

"Silver Machine" is out of the running since Zach has a "Machine" pedal already.

An "Orgone Accumulator" may appear at some point. Hehehe.

Anyway.... just looking for input and opinions.

Thanks! :D

Hi Peter. Not that I know of. If your internet searches have come up a blank then you should be ok. The best thing to do is register the name with the trade mark office and in  about 60 days if there are no objections to you using under the electronic devices section, then the name is yours. And you get to put a little  (tm) after it which is realy cool. Sounds great. Good luck

If "Machine", takes up all territory including Purple, bad, Loud, Screaming..etc like "Screaming Machine", that would be a shame IMO.
I get a little twirkd with the Territory claims Dept. on words...in this case MO is that definitive difference names should be allowed...in other words Machine Is the Machine...A "Purple Machine" is distinguished as different...C'mon now these are only words...have respect for one another and compromise/share...there's only so many cool words around that People register as cool right off the bat!

Of course then we'd all have to bring up the old semi-urban-legend Chevy marketing joke... and refer to it as .. (drumroll)
'pedal no go'
"-)

Did I mention it takes unleaded? ;)

Luckily Chevy and Hawkwind have nothing in common. Just wait until I release the Pacer and Gremlin pedals. Hehehe  :o

Take care,

Child of the '70's that I was, "Nova" always makes me think of Planet of the Apes.

She didn't make any sound....
