Here is a pic of 2 of my latest projects.  I finally got the enclosures finished this last weekend.

The Crazy Cat is my Rat clone with a bunch of mods and the Fuzz Master is the GGG 69 Boutique Fuzz also with a bunch of extra tweaks.

The Crazy Cat was done using the T-Shirt Iron on method. It is over a painted surface.  The T-Shirt method will work on a painted surface if you cover the whole face of it.  If you try to do a small pic the surrounding clear does melt a bit.

The FF is a powdercoated box that uses the water decals for knob labeling and the Iron on stuff for the FM logo and Oz logo at the bottom.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me get these baby's tweaked!  They both sound great.

Xcellent!
Kewl!
I've got to try this method soon. I think we can all agree on one thing at this forum; the hardest part of d.i.y. pedal making is finishing the box.
You've got this problem licked.

That is the truth.  I have both of these pedals finished for a couple of weeks and finally this weekend got the enclosures finished.

Not even close :x

Those are beautiful looking boxes! 8)

I especially love the "texture" on your Crazy Cat box!

Great job!

Take care,

So you painted the box first and then used iron-on Tshirt transfers? Cool! Did you spray the paint with clear-coat before ironing the transfer on, or did you just iron the transfer right on?
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

ULTRA - FINE !!!  NICE  JOB.
Build a better fuzz face and the world will beat a path to your door.

Nice, man. I am going to have to try this method some time...

I put clear on over the paint.  I actually tried to iron on just a small logo at the bottom and it melted the clear so I ended up putting an iron on for the whole top of the pedal.  Live and learn.

Those boxes are very beautiful indeed. So very beautiful that I could not bring myself to stomp them!

I've been tempted to beautify a few of my creations, but I play every weekend, and I kinda get a little rowdy sometimes.
The ones I've @ least painted are chipping badly. I could not imagine taking like Mark Borrow's "Bridge of Vibes" to a rock gig!
I'm in the midst of building my own"Bridge of Thighs", but if I finish the box, I'm just going to spray a few coats of hammertone gray on there & leave it @ that.
It's for the same reason I take el-cheapo guitars and put good pickups n' stuff in em', so I can whack em' & throw em' down & stuff!

Keep on making those works of art!
