Just got back from watching the man play polo. Now, who was in the other team? Well, the guy who used to play drums for the Who and before that Faces - Kenny Jones and some other bloke who will be the next King of England, and Jodie Kidd - boy can she play! A great day out in the English countryside.

Hello Stephen--
Ever run into a guy named Barry Clayton?  He was the bass player in Lord Sutch's band with me in the last half of the 60's.
Wow, I'm thinking of all KINDS of people from the past, now!
Brian.

hey Brian: was that you playing on : "Coz`I Love You" ????
In this case, you played on my very first "heavy metal" record I bought...
(and probably the song that made me want to get into FX...)

Hello Puretube--
I remember a version of that song somewhere.......I'm not sure if it's the one that got released.  What album is your version on??    Sutch would re-record  [and replace] lots of tracks to lots of songs.  [ He would make sure that the tape was running when Page or Beck was playing some "Chuck Berry-style"  noodling and then write a song around it  so he could include them in the album credits...]
We did a version of "Hall of the Mountain King", too!!   ......    yikes  .....
I think one of the reasons I initially got the gig was that I had the same kind of guitar that Blackmore was using when he played with Sutch.  [Red Gibson ES-335]
Brian.

it was released as single by "Lord Sutch & Heavy Friends"...

Hi Brian
No, I never came across that bass player. The one I always remember was Rickky Brown or Fenson as he was sometimes known. He had the largest bass cabinet I ever saw.

Hello Hello--
I had no idea that song was released as a single!!    I don't even own a copy of that album.......
Does it sound like a "humbucker equipped" guitar or a Fender??   I actually was using the 335 and a Les Paul Jr. and  a Firebird I  and a Fender Strat  at different times.  If it's got some insane "Ike Turner-on-speed type Strat wang-bar stuff then it's either me or Blackmore.
This is getting interesting!
Brian.

puretube

there are 2 distinct diff. guitars to hear on that copy I had (in fact I gave the single to our 2nd guitarist for present about 15 years ago...).
To me, one sounds a bit like a stiff E.C. with wah at white room times...
