finally i got enough stompboxes to do final testing of my midi switching system.
here's one photo
the signal path was:
Guitar->MidiSwitcher: LoopA:AW2, Phase90->Return to Midiswicher-> Send to Troll used as preamp->Return to MidiSwitcher, LoopB: SmallClone, BossFlanger, NS2->Return to Midiswicher->Send to VoxTonelab used as "power" amp and speaker simulator.
Pedals was powered from my Multi Power Supply (10x9V DC; LM317 regulated). And everything works fine :) no hum, silent switching. I know, there are ground loops, power supply outs are not separated.. I was able to control Tonelab with special feature of this midi switcher - MIDI mapping. In edit mode I can send Program Change event and set desired patch on something else, thas is midi controllable. Very useful when you have to set the system of pedals and other rackmount processors.
And here's new pedal, Screamer+, TS based overdrive with some mods and speaker simulator installed. Harmonics switch changes between asymmetric/symmetric clipping.

no sounds yet, seems to me everyone here knows what TS type sound is;)
And some updates on my green monster - Troll. On monday I was at my friend's small home recording studio and we did some tests.
Here's MusicManAxis straight into Troll, speaker simulated into RME Hammerfall:
sample1
But, let's return to more heavy sounds: sample2. One guy asked me to record some kinda death metal sounds. Sorry for crappy playing.. took only .5h to record this one;)
Another one: sample3.
Everything was recorded with speaker simulation.
Now, time to rest ... ;)
... wait! and that's my new killer pedal :) Subzer0 :) Soon I'll post some pics..

Peter, thats for sure a killer system, Like being able to edit on the fly, that's cool, and the troll is got to be my Fav. I do like the warmth of the SubZ but if ya ever wanna throw that Ol Troll away, Just send it to Ol JD, I'll give it a good home, Hint, Hint,

What is it? TROLL..DIY? where's the schematic?

It's a monster!!
And you play the loudest guitar sample in the forum..
peace...

JD:
The Troll has left my cave some days ago..;) but when i'm thinking about building another one i find it very difficult: to build the same thing twice. There's always something that can be done better... don't know where it leads in the end, maybe TRON ;)
Hari:
yep, schematic lays somewhere in my head :) I haven't drawn it yet! Basically it's 4049 based pedal, 4 stages, classic tone stack, and a lot of tweaking with bandwidth at the input, clipping stages...
BTW, check out new pedals at my page:)

Peter:

Your devices are great sounding. Do you prefer the sound of CMOS for heavy distortion? I've been trying to design a heavy sounding distortion of late with questionable results. Mine just sounds like another opamp clipper but with more gain. I thought Parametric style Bass EQ would make the difference, but it still didn't quite cut it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hi RDV!
for heavy distortion I prefer tubes :) and then CMOS sound. In my opinion, to make a good sounding hi-gain pedal is to find a proper balance between the gain, the bandwidth, number of stages, and finally EQ section. I like to attenuate low band and slightly upper band at the input, then after clipping stages do something reversed. Maybe that's why classic 3 band tone stack sounds good, it has some mid scoop.
And opamp clippers - they do sound like clippers ;)  in hi-gain circuits they have much lower "touch sensitivity" than non diode based clippers (cmos, mosfets etc). Tubes are rulers here ;) And that led me to the idea of new hybrid pedal. A heavy one with, I think, tubish reaction. Almost every hybrid dist unit uses tube as a final clipper/smoother. But what about using it as an input stage? Two triode stages, then signal attenuated to lower amplitudes fed into some SS clipping stages.. just a thought.. I think worth checking out.. :) How do You think, guys?

Yo peter. I must say, your pedals look amazing. I'm interested in the Tube Tank! Do you have a schem available?

Thanks

Thanks free electron!  I always wondered what the sound quality was like on the RME Hammerfall cards.  I like my EMU 1820M better but the RME is still the pro standard for PC.  I almost bought the Hammerfall before the EMU.  But I never got to here one.  It is a very sweet card.
Since your in Poland I guess your friend was using Cubase.
